As you will have seen Covid is still very much with us. However, we recognise that we are now able to take cautious steps back to more normal times.
From next Sunday, 29th August, face coverings will no longer be obligatory. We do still encourage all parishioners and visitors to wear a suitable face covering, particularly when moving around in the church. This is to protect themselves and everyone around them. We still encourage everyone to sanitise their hands on both entering and leaving the church and if possible to carry a small bottle of sanitizer for use before Holy Communion.
We will still be maintaining the social distancing requirements in the pews wherever we can.
From the beginning of September, distribution of Holy Communion will move to its normal time during the Mass but we will aim to do this on a row by row basis, again to maintain social distancing. For the time being, the offertory collection will be taken as people leave the church.
We are very grateful to our team of stewards who have worked so hard to keep everyone safe during this time.
